Justin Valasek

Brief Bio:

I received my Ph.D. in economics from Duke University and completed postdocs at the European University Institute and WZB Berlin before taking up my current position as Associate Professor (tenure track) at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). My main research interests are in Applied Microeconomic Theory, Experimental Economics, Political Economy, Public Choice, Development and Behavioral Economics. Currently, the topics I am working on include the dynamics of institutional transition, the determinants of between-group cooperation/discrimination, and normative analysis of collective choice.
